Recording MIDI & Alchemy
In this chapter we will create a MIDI recorded tune that incorporated designing/editing sound by creating summing stacks, using Alchemy, using drum sequencers and more. Check out some tutorials on the videos page. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of how to edit sound through the various libraries and control settings in these instruments. Achieving automation to evolve sounds through using the Latch feature is a great way to change sounds on the fly.
Alchemy
In these photos, you will see a basic overview of three different ways to interact with Alchemy. You have the ability to browse through a large library of instruments, use a simple control window to alter sounds, as well as advanced options for really editing how your sound is produced and delivered.

Creating a Track Stack
This technique allows you to thicken up a sound and combine multiple tracks and control it as one. Adjust the volume of each instrument will allow you to further engineer a unique sound.
Ultrabeat
Ultrabeat is a great sequencer to create new beat loops, edit pre-made beats and fine tune drum sounds. Check out the tutorial on the videos page.

Drummer
Adding a drummer can allow you an oppuortnity to experiment with different Genres of music. With the addition of this drummer, you can adjust the complexity, loudness, types of drums used, how many fills and more. In the advanced settings, it is even possible to swap out certain drums and even tune them.
Latch Mode
When trying to create movement of your sound on the fly, you will need to enter Latch mode. This will allow you to play your composition while making adjustments in real time. That automation will then be recorded to your track. This is a much faster way to add automation to your tracks.
